Method overview

When to use

Use when one categorical factor has three or more independent groups and the outcome is continuous.

Input requirements

Enter one group per line. Values within each group can be separated by commas, spaces, or tabs. At least 3 groups are required.

Key assumptions

  • Independent observations.
  • Approximate normality within each group.
  • Similar variances across groups.

Null hypothesis

H₀: all group population means are equal.

Method used

Classical one-way ANOVA F test.

Data input and results

Use one group box per independent group. Add group names and a measurement unit to generate a simple GraphPad-style mean ± SD figure.
